The photographs on this site are from the portfolio of Mike Howlett, ex-lighting cameraman and retired IT engineer, now happily settled, with his wife Sue, a retired Paper Conservator, in the small town of Needham Market in mid-Suffolk: five pubs, two churches and a reptile emporium - about the right balance, he feels.
As a newcomer to East Anglia, his portfolio is not, as yet, very extensive in terms of creative Suffolk pictures. But he is gradually adding to them when he considers a picture good enough for inclusion on the site. He has divided the portfolio into three easy categories - Suffolk seascapes, Suffolk landscapes and ‘Rest of World’. Many of his Suffolk images are more recent than his ‘World’ pictures, as he doesn’t travel so much now. The latter represent a time in his life when he was able to wander fairly extensively in the course of UK and overseas filming commitments.
All the images are available as high-quality ‘giclee’ prints on heavy-duty art papers and printed with permanent K3 pigment inks, so they have built-in light fastness for at least 60-80 years. Buyers have the choice of prints (from small to large, with options on mounting) or pictures mounted on oak blocks, all at modest prices. For more on the prints, click here. We are not currently able to offer framed pictures, except at art- or craft-shows, but for some suggestions for frame mouldings suitable for photographs, see this page. These are available online - to your size specifications - from eframe.co.uk.
